Default welcome back to honda!, my wife just got an LS need a bit of help

OK i have been out the honda game for a while since mine got totalled . but i am back my wifes car died on here and it was time to get a new one. we got a 94 ls in good shape but (doesn't this always happen) when we got home from out long drive from picking up the car two things happened.
1) the passenger side door doesn't want to unlock. it has power locks but it seems like something is wrong i can't even open it with the key. what do you think it is? i am going to open up the door panel tomorrow to see if i see anything.
2) the heater control only works on the 3 and 4 settings now not on the 1 and 2 do you think i need to replace the heater controls or do i need to replace something else?

1) u may need a new door lock actuator, but they arent too expensive, thats what fixed mine

2) i dunno what u mean by "doesnt work" on the heating, does it not blow out air? or is the air not hot?, might wanna check on the passenger side when u look up under the dash there is a metal wire that connects to a little metal hook, thats what actually connects to the heating, check that wire, and make sure everything else looks good.

prolly wont help much, but i tried

For #2, on 2nd gens it's usually the blower motor resistor. I would assume it's the same thing (problem) for a 3rd gen (fan speeds only working in the 3 and/or 4 position).

This is for a 94 teg LS

Part #5.
59944 005 1 RESISTOR, BLOWER 26.55 22.57

Not too expensive from the dealership

Before I worked at Acura, when mine went out, I think I paid around $25 for it. Fixed my problem. Now I could get it for a lot less since I work there...but that's not the point. I wouldn't expect to spend too much. They aren't too pricey. You can always looked for a used one (someone parting out a car) or in a junkyard. Of course you have to worry about a used one not working/going out soon.

Call up whatever Acura dealership is closest you up there...because I doubt the one I work at (Jones Acura, Lancaster PA) is close you. Though the Poconos isn't that far from us!
