black smoke under hard throttle, whats the problem?
Well, I have a 91 Crx dx, but its swapped to MPFI and it has a zc block, but anyways, my friend claims under hard throttle, my exhaust is smoking black, and ive done some research and this sounds like im running rich... Anyone ever have this problem? Ive done some thinking about it too, and i would imagine it would have to be either related to the tps or map sensor because it has to do with throttle and/or vacuum... Any input??
what are you using for an ecu/management/injectors/fuel pressure?
If all of that is stock, I would look into replacing your spark plugs first, then wires, cap, rotor. How much black smoke is their? a little black smoke is normal in the higher rpm's for hondas.

i don't personally see any smoke when im driving the car, but when my friend drives behind me he sees it....im runnin crx si ecu, stock injectors, stock fuel pressure on guage, d16z6 intake manifold, dc sports headers, integra throttle body....well thats about everything i can think of...im trying to get it back to as close to stock as i can, minus changing manifolds back....but anyways, any input on that??
