Default exhaust noise + bogging

i recently lost my old motor to water (hydolock) i got a replacement ls motor installed. but now i seem to have and exhaust leak, sounds like its coming from the front near the manifold, now sometimes when i start to drive my car will sputter and the rpms will drop no matter how hard i press the accel. then it just pops back to normal...very confused, told it may be an o2 sensor. any ideas? my car sounds like ****
