Need help! smoking exhaust manifold!
Ok, so i was on my way to work today and i noticed my hood smokin. i checked the temp gauge but it read normal...so i was like wtf!? i parked my car in the parking lot and there was more smoke comin out...then i popped the hood and saw smoke comin from the intake manifold...and there's freon drippin from under the car...but not from under the radiator. maybe under the engine block? someone tell me what's wrong, i dunno what to do...i'm at work right now and i dunno if i wanna drive my car back or take it straight to the shop as soon as i get off...reply asap!

could have been something that steamed, and looked to come from that area.
refrigerant wouldnt be around the intake manifold, nor would it drip under the car. you could have a leak of some sort. see what exactly is leaking. refrigerant would evaporate and there would be none left in your system if there was a leak, so i dont think that would cause it.
see whats leaking and from where causing it to smoke.
EDIT: postings weird, it says exhaust manifold on the topic and intake on the post.
if its your exhaust manifold your probably leaking oil and its burning when it gets hot and smoking. see if your leaking oil around your valve cover gasket or your cam plug are two popular spots.

well, i went to go look at it a couple hours ago when i went on break and it looked like it was comin from the block...there's no freon left in my radiator and in my reservoir, also. i just noticed the hood smoking when i stopped at a traffic light earlier this morning...u think i can make it to the shop (about 10miles away)?
oh you mean coolant.
your leaking anti-freeze probably.
check your hoses make sure theyre okay.
add some coolant before you drive or you will overheat if there is no coolant left.
careful if you add water dont let it sit if its below freezing out or it will freeze!

yes, coolant...the green stuff that was leaking. matter of fact, the hoses leading to the intake manifold were also smoking when i checked this morning. i started it up about an hour ago and the temp gauge still read normal...i dunno tho, it might be because i still have some left in the block? but yea, im about to put some coolant before i leave.
