crower stg 2 help? d16y8 (vtec not making more power)
ok, so I had my car dyno tuned yesterday. Something weird happened. It makes the same power without vtec as it does with. Is something wrong with the motor or have I reached the limits of my engines setup.
current setup:
99 d16y8
generic CAI with k&n filter
b-series 60mm TB
edelbrock performer x IM
crower stg 2 cam with springs/retainers
heat wrapped dc 4-2-1 header
magnaflow high flow cat
apexi ws2 exhaust
Stock cam gear
the car was tuned using crome.
Vtec still sounds like it's engaging, you can hear it engage and even see the vtec dip on the dyno charts. but with vtec disabled it still produced 114 whp 102 ft/lb tq.
Anyone have any ideas?
