torque wrench compared to ratchet
gonna be installing couple strut bars on my 99 ex. no tools to apply correct amount of torque for me so would a socket set and ratchet be good enuff? just tighten bolts lil over snug?
like others have mentioned... you don't need to torque it to spec but a torque wrench is pretty handy... just pick one up at Pepboys or something for $20....
define strut bars. if your goin to the frame, over snug is fine. if your goin to the struts, its 33lb-ft which is a little harder than spark plug tight.

Every bolt in the car does have a torque spec, but i never use them unless its motor work and sometimes suspension work.

Dude, we've answered. Just use a ratchet and bolt it on.
