Default Car won't start. Bad ignition switch?

Car quit while I was driving on the hwy to work. No hesitation at all, just dies. I got it retarted once but died rather quick and hasn't restarted since. The thing is the dash is also dead. None of the dash lights come on when the key is turned. Absolutely nothing. I've checked on the fuses and they're all fine. Power windows, sun roof, clock doesn't work either. Starter works but there is no ignition. Battery should be fine as it was only replaced last year. Is a bad ignition switch the cause?

I think you're right, bad ignition switch. I'm assuming you checked to make sure the battery is charged.
