Dumb question for those who painted valve covers

Default Dumb question for those who painted valve covers

After you take off your valve cover and clean/wash then paint and what not, do you just put it right back on? No need to do anything else? Just making sure

make sure you put all the gaskets back in. spark plug orings and valve cover gasket.

Yeah I got that, I don't need to re oil it? Cuz when I took it off there was oil all on the back.
