I found something interesting under my 1998 accord dash today when I was accessing the connector to read engine codes. Car was throwing code 12 (EGR) so I'll get that fixed tomorrow along with the interlock problem. anyways on to the real question...

I saw a red led flashing and a disarm switch near the firewall. I thought this was only on cars that had the alarm. I looked at the honda alarm install instuctions and it shows these two intems. Now, can I tell if the car has an alarm on it? Where would the honda alarm box be located? and if it does have an alarm how would I get the keyless entry to work? just buy a new keyfob?

 

I found it. It is a valet 710 modle

 

There is a transmitter programming sequence in my 7th gen Helm. If you want I can type it up for you.

 

So it's not factory alarm. Nevermind then.
