a bulb burned out on my guage cluster in my 2000 civic ex. so i went ahead and replaced the bulb but now that everything is re-installed, my speedometer doesnt work

i checked and everything seems to be plugged in alright. my rpms read and the gas / temp guage appears to be working. i searched and came up with nothing..

please, please.. someone help me out

 

Does your odometer work? Is there a CEL? If the answers are no and yes, then check your VSS.

 

actually, i just got back from driving around.. everything is working, but the speedometer seems to take time to get moving. it does seem to be giving me the correct reading though. i dont know if i've never paid attention to it before and its been like that or if i just now realized that because i was really looking at it.
