my hatch took a crap on the highway the other day it was a 89 dx with 235,000 miles on it. i cracked the head. my parents want me to sell the car. should i part it out or sell as a whole with the messed up motor. Currently I have...
Interior:
Crx Si front seats
Civic SiR rear seats with headrests
SI door panels
SI rear panels
Crx Si dash
Si middle console with ebrake
Exterior:
SiR front bumper with turnsignals
New white paint
Skunk 2 catback exhaust
What would you guys do. I am currently out of a job and dont have money to swap.

Gotta agree with CRX Toad, the OEM motor is dirt cheap and would only take a few hours to swap out and get running. Needing money sucks but I'll bet if you sell it now you will regret it later especially since you already have a nice start to it, think how much it would cost you to build this car again??? I only WISH I would not have sold my '88 CRX Si back in '99 so just think about it HARD. Good luck

I hate to tell you but you aren't going to get enough money out of it to live in San Fran. Just being honest.

would i get more money selling the car as a whole on ebay with the head fucked or should i strip it and sell everything seperate
I'd keep it. You'll regret it later.
But, since you've already decided to sell/part it out, I would try to sell it as a whole. Parting it out you may get more money but since you can't sell each part all at once, you'll end up selling something one day and others on another day getting money here and there and any moeny you get will get spent no matter how hard you try to save it. Trust me.

you just started this project and you are already flaking out on it. sell it and leave the site. we hate to see failures such as yourself.
