Default Signs of a dying Alternator???

Dunno if anyone had these kind of crap happen to them, but I think my Alternator is going..
things i see happening:
Vtec sputters
rough idle
dash dims when head lights are turned one (high watt bulbs, but seen this before i got them)..damn dunno if this is actually normal for the dash to do..
AC button dims when on and sitting at a light but then goes bright when moving...
blower fan RPM changes when moving and when at a light, drops.

weird crap and help of course is helpful
thanks

I've noticed in all hondas ive been in that at idle the headlights, dash lights, fan speeds all slow and dim at idle but once you blip the throttle or get going they pick up. It shouldnt be rpm dependent though. If you get over like 1000 rpms and they stay steady and they only slow under 1000 that seems normal to me. As long as they dont get progressively brighter and faster as you reach redline.

As far as vtec sputtering and a rough idle. That could be something else. How long since a tune up was done? maybe spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor, clean the throttle body, and air filter may help.

Anycheck engine lights or anything?

well how i check if alternator go bad is.. start the car and disconnect the battery and see how long it runs. if that doesn't help you can always bring your car to a auto parts store and they can check it for you.

Check your grounds, they will make your engine run rough and dim lights.

just go to a local store that can diagnose if it is your alternator or your battery. There's no telling which one it could be. It will cost you about $15 at your local sears or some ****.

Go to autozone. They'll check it for free.
