Sexiest wheel ever for a black NSX?
I want these wheels. But I'm trying to decide just how badly I want them. They would be my street wheels. 17x8 +45mm front, 18x9 +38mm rear. I'd get Kumho 712s to start with just to keep costs down, since I can re-use my fronts for a while. Then after I went through those, I'd get S03 PP's. I'd also probably get some A032R's for my current set of Enkei RP01's. They are also very light. Only about 1-2lbs heavier than TE37s. About 17lbs for the front and 18lbs for the rear.

I think they'd look awesome on a black NSX. Good choice with the 712's - another NSXer around here swears by them. Although they aren't for track use.
How do you like the AO32R's? I just mounted my Ecsta V700s. We'll see how the look.
But I like these wheels. Sweet.

I haven't driven on A032R's before, except maybe once at an autocross in someone's civic. Basically, I guess the consensus is that they're way stickier than all street tires, won't kill you if driven in the rain, and will give good enough wear and heat cycle behavior to drive to/from the track on them without killing them. But that they're not as sticky as a V700, Hoosier, Toyo RA1, etc. They also come 235/40/17, which can fit under the front fenders of an NSX with some convincing.

I hear that too. Tell me your opinions of what they're like after your next track event. I'd be interested.
235's are mad for your fronts! That's some serious rubber. What's the wheel size? And what kind of convincing are you talking about?

I'm not exactly sure about the front fitment. I know Chris Willson of scienceofspeed.com runs the 235/40/17 A032R's on the front of his NSX. He's got a 17x8 with I think a +42 or +43mm. Mine are 17x8 with +38mm. So that will change things a little. Plus, he said he had to bang out some bumps on the inner fender or something.
It'll probably be several months before I actually get any A032R's. I'll have to do quite a bit of fitment research as well. I'll make 'em work one way or another. I'm also more than likely going to remove my A/C condensors, which will free up some room for tire fitment.
Anyway.... I just ordered the wheels. It'll take a couple weeks for discount tire to get them into the warehouse, and then they have to ship them to me from there. I can't wait.
The only question in my head is that because of the design of the wheel (rather flat), they may not be able to clear a big brake kit. I could always bust some spacers on 'em, though.

If you saw a black NSX at any of the slush series events, then you already have. Heh. I wasn't at SCCA #1, though, and I'm not going to be in bremerton this weekend.

If their finish is as nice as my RP01s (hopefully it'll be nicer, since the wheel as a whole seems nicer), the brake dust should wipe off quite easily. Although there's a lot more nooks and crannies. I think it'll be worth it, though. I just love the way they look.

They're the Enkei RPM2. Discount Tire Direct carries them. I have no idea what "Bortex" means.

My god, these things look good. I still have to get tires put on the fronts, put them on my car, wash the car, and take pictures.
But as for what the finish looks like, just imagine polished hematite.
