Default What cams are there for d15

Hey guys ive had a search for this and come up with nothing, im looking to upgrade my cams on my 92 sohc d15 non vtec not exactly sure which model engine it is just that its a d15 lol

Can anyone tell me what cam's are out there, I live in England and there are none for sale over here so im going to have to import them from the USA or is it possible to take the cams out of a larger civic engine and put them in mine ???

Thanks in advance

Theres a variety of mfgrs. out there that produce a cam for your SOHC. Look into comp cams/zex cams, i believe they may offer one for a non vtec setup. IMHO, you should look up BauleyCivic's thread on mating the VTEC head onto the NonVtec single cam block, commonly called a 'mini-me' setup. Good, cheap increase in power, and a lot more options for upgrades

Has anyone actualy bought any cams for there d15 ?

As for the mini conversion, I did look into it but getting hold of a d15 vtec head in the UK isnt possible there are almost none in the country running let alone up for grabs from a breakers yard... help guys !!!

fyi... not sure if you know it, cause you've been saying you want cams. But you only need one cam in your d-series... unless you have the almighty dohc ZC

look at the engine block... locate the engine code.. it says

d15b7 d16z b16a/a2 b16b b18c1 b18b5 h22a h22a2 h2b ;P!! so on

it is etched into the block... normally on the front..
look it might have grease over it or something

The more horsepower you want, the more money you will spend on the cam, also goes the same for the tune.

You are kidding, right? If not, you are just a speculating moron.

A6 cam in your b7 may get you an additional 5-10 hp at MOST.

Upon further review, I see you may not be talking about an A6 cam but an aftermarket cam. In that case there is STILL no way a cam alone will give you a 30 hp gain.

Ok ill have a look on my block
And i love my SOHC no grease on it at all lol

Yeah money isnt really an issue for me when it comes to tuning i can get it all done free just have to pay for the parts ie the cam

And yeah an aftermarket cam will do I just want to upgrade for the increased power
