Default 1 pc headlight polishing?

my sets of 1pcs are getting dull and i was wondering if anyone knew the exact process of restoring them. any advice would help. thanks

Try Eagle One Never Dull. It's a metal polish, but is suitable for headlights.

If there really yellow. That stuff won't work. You'd have to wetsand, and work your way into polishing compounds.

Could you provide pics of what they look like?

meguiars plastix. like 6 bucks. stuff works wonders

my camera is busted right now. well its not that bad and yellow, but you can tell its fading and there isnt any shine to it unless you actually wet it with water. someone mensioned wet sanding it but i heard that it just causes it to get faded even faster. is that true?

i would try the meguiars, wet sanding may not be necessary.

I wet-sanded my 1-piece's with 600, and 1200 grit. Then i used Mother's Plastic Polish. Probably gonna wet-sand with 2000 grit soon and go over with the polish again.

Only problem is its a bitch finding 1600 - 2000 grits sandpaper. So far, I can only find them online......

Homedepot, PepBoys, Autozone only carry 1200 grits and lower.

both have Automotive sand paper
which is 1000 1500, 2000 wetsand

this was just wetsand+hand polish
too bad i dont have any pictures of it machine polished
dam it was hot

http://www.g2ic.com has a great writeup on it...i used their writeup when i restored my 1 pieces and they came out looking brand new i'd say check out their writeup. good luck with it!
