Hi, I just got a used 02 accord se, and the first owner installed a Chapman alarm. I've had the car for 4 days and thought the alarm was annoying because it randomly goes off. Well today when I got in the car after it sitting there for 30 min. it would not start. It didn't make a clicking noise, just would not turn over or make a sound. The alarm had been blinking when I got in and put the key in, but I turned it off before trying to start it. After it wouldn't start, the alarm kept blinking, and then went off when I got out. This was a few hours ago; I tried jump starting for an hour and all I got were dim lights that got dimmer after trying to start it.

it seems like the alarm sucked the power out of the battery (it's a new battery, nothing wrong with connections either). I've had 3 random people look at it, and all they can come up with is that maybe the alarm went off earlier and drained the battery so I need a new one, but I don't know why it won't jump. I disabled the alarm and want to take it out altogether but I need to start it first so I can take it to a best buy. any help on this would be appreciated. thanks.
