wanna see who made the stainless catback exhaust i have on my hoopty, gonna have it on lift in a few days again. what should i look for and where? also the muffler i have is too rice for me. damn near 3-4 inch tip bumpin into my plastic trim after putting on the right mounts. what type of muffler do you guys suggest? would like something somewhat quiet at cruising, but dont mind a lil pep.

 

Well, some manufacturers are so proud of their products, they'll emboss their name on some part of the exhaust, most times on the side of the muffler and/or resonator.
If you find no name, it says a lot about who made it

I would go back to stock exhaust. When my stock muffler pipe finally developed a hole (6 years), I bought a muffler from a muffler shop. It made the whole car vibrate at a certain rpm. It almost had me convinced my engine was comming apart. When that piece of crap developed a hole (about 1.5 years) I went back to the stock muffler. It cost me $210, but I could have sworn I had a whole new engine. And the best part is I installed it easy as pie!! Bolted right up.
