91 b20 motor
well the b20a5 (i think thats it) is probably one of hondas lesser engines, i had a prelude b20 and it was a good car but it would not do well in a civic. and i dont think you can put a b16/18 head on it.
but just to let you know some ppl are prolly gonna flame you

You know what a b20vtec motor is right??
B20vtec = Either a b20b or b20z nonvtec shortblock with any b-series dohc vtec head..Its a hybrid motor..Im sure you can find a b20vtec/crvtec/etc that someone has built for sale..

But he said 91 b20vtec motor..And there is no such thing,,I dont think he realizes its hybrid motor and doesnt come in stock 88-91 preludes,,

your right b16/18 vtec heads does not bolt on .
its about the worst motor honda has made they were trying a different sleeve material
and it tears up rings , you Could get it resleeved but it would be kind of pointless bc for the cost of the you can have a b20b/z plus then u could use a vtec head

something i've always wondered, does that motor bolt in with hasport b-series mounts. I know the head's aren't interchangable but i thought i heard the mounts were different too. Figured i'd ask.

If you are reffering to the 88-91 prelude b20 engines,,then NO it wont work...I dont even consider that motor a b-series..

correct, just like the f20c s2000 isnt really a normal prelude/accord f- series motor... dont know why honda does/did that... pretty much with these motors the interchangable parts you are used to (with d, h, and b series), dont apply
dont know why you would want a prelude b20 anyway, crv b20's are cheap enough. i've heard of people paying less than 500 for a long block with less than 30k miles. with the 'lude your probably lookin at 100k+ miles

For whatever reason, people also don't consider that there is no easy way to get this motor in. Hasport mounts won't work. We are talking custom fabrication here. And this is going to be neither cheap nor easy. The bottom line: there are MUCH better motors that can be used that are easier to drop in.
