2 Q's -anybody build a engine stand ?- WTB: 220V MIG
hello everybody.
i have two questions for you guys.
-anybody here built an engine stand? and can post some pic's of it? (i live in israel so tools are very expensive here... an engine stand cost like 200$)
- I wtb a small 220V mig. make offers :D

ok... first of all, building an engine stand would be simple. Just look at the picture and build it. 
If you need actual measurements, I can run out side and get them tomorrow. You can get them for like $40 but I dont know how much it would cost to ship. Hopefully if you build one you can pick up scrap or drop pieces of steel over there in Italy at a scrap/metal yard. The vertical leg of the engine stand needs to lean back just a couple degrees, probably 8-10*
On the welder...you want to buy one? Are you looking for recommendations or are you looking ot buy one and have it shipped? I would recommend sticking with the big 3 companies that build welders. They are quality and will last. The big 3 are Miller, Lincoln and Hobart

yup, they have a 120v 130 amp welder as well as 220v 180amp welder on homedepot.com

i guess its just a personal choice... I have a couple buddies taht are professional welders that bleed Miller and my dads work they use all Lincoln TIGS for their aircraft. I believe in buying something you know is quality once than buying something that may break and buy and buy again.

isnt it cheaper to buy a stand then to make one yourself...? i got mine for like $45. Unless you WANT to do it yourself... But then again, i have no clue how much shipping is
