................WHAT COULD THIS BE??
OK so im driving down the road...its very cold... below freezing but anyway my radiator blows up and sprays antifreeze everywhere...so I drive about 1/2 mile further checking the temp the entire time to make sure it doesent get too hot..it got about 3/4 the way up the temp gauge then I stop in a parking lot. A few days later I put a new radiator in and now it sputters when I give it gas at low rpm's. Kinda like a delay before I get all the power...it even sputters a little at high rpms, and when it idles every few seconds or so it will kinda make a noise not like to teh point of backfire but like a little sputter. Could I have CRACKED the head with out it even getting that hot. COULD anyone please help who may have some info. Iput the whole motor in my self (d16y8) but I just cant understand whats going on with it....its ran fine untill then.

Or $20 off eGay
The other issue could be the headgasket.
Funny story: had to drive my bro's winter beater (89 std w/my LX motor), noticed people acting odd around me (staring and flashing), got to school, then was driving home - and noticed some smoke behind me. Looked down - needle pinned to H.
Since it was my junk motor he basicly took w/o asking, I drove the next 3 miles. Got to the stop sign, cloud of white smoke engulfed the car!
In the end it was a blown coolant hose (everything was wet), which lead to overheating & blowing the headgasket. He replaced it, and its better than before.

Warped head means a camshaft that's seizing. This could be your problem. Do you now hear a whirring noise from the timing belt area?
