oil covered spark plug wires
My car was recently having a hard time starting so I checked the sparkplug wires. I learned that they were covered in oil. I have a 97 honda accord sedan. I assume this is causing my hard start problem. I am wondering what is causing the sparkplug wires to be covered in oil like that, could it be the valve seals and if so how long would it take to replace the valve seals. ANY input would be good. thanks for your time.
your spark plug tube seals are bad. i had to replace mine recently, for the same thing happened
look in your helms/haynes to get information on how to replace those.
if you dont have a manual go buy one.
i will also put a link to a DIY for the F22a1 but im not familiar enough with accords to know which engine you have.

there are two spark plugs seals
the ones in the valve cover, that are ultra easy to change and the ones under the rocket arms, that moves the valves, those are, kinda hard to change if you are not that familiar with cars.

i had never done anything mechanical on a car before and i was able to change the lower tube seals no problem.
it really is an easy job.
read that link i gave you, on page two they have pictures
