silverstars sucks! Recommend any others?
Ok one of my silverstars jsut went out after less than 6 months. I loved their great white lighting for the price, but they jsut don't last long enough. Do you know of anyother good bulbs for my usdm lamps I could get while I'm still saving to retrofit my new jdms? I don't want anything ricey or blue, I want something nicely white I could bare with for the meantime cause I sure don't want to go back to ordinary bulbs by the way I forgot our bulb# is it 9006?. Any suggestion would be appreciated guys. Thanks
Thanks for the # guys, firstoff piaa is too expensive, and I was also looking at those Luminics here in the forum for 25 shipped but don't have enough recommendations, I think the new trend with Yellow bulbs is ricey and i don't like it at all just not my style, I'm looking for good functional white bulbs like the silverstars but they don't last long enough
. A member posted some pics of his Nokya nordic white and looked pretty good. they go for about $25 shipped (Ebay) I think I will conside those.

i've used nokya bulbs awhile back ago and they weren't that bright for me. I switched to MTEC super white bulbs, and they are noticably brighter than nokyas. they're rated at the same class as PIAA in japan, but without the expensive cost. you can get them for about $19.00-$20.00 + shipping on eBay.

I've been using the same RAYBRIG bulbs for more than 2 yrs now... with NO problems.. I love raybrigs, even bought them for my wifes accord.

Listen to this guy... I have had the Raybrigs before as well, and I loved them. Right now I am using PIAA Xtreme Whites, and they are okay, but not anywhere near as nice as my Raybrigs were. If I weren't getting an H.I.D. kit in the near future, then I'd definitely go buy another set of them.

i've had my MTEC 4x bulbs for the last two years and it has never melted the harneness nor the relay; still shines like new. Of course there are better bulbs than MTECs, for example PIAA or Raybrig, but MTECs are pretty good quality along with a cheap price; about 1/3 the price of PIAAs.

I've had Luminics JDM Yellow lights for about 9 months now. No problems except for one of my fog light bulbs went out. Sent them back and the company replaced it. I like them. But I am going HID in my JDM headlights anyhow. But for the price and warrenty I like the Luminics.
Honestly, why don't you save your money for a name brand HID kit which are proven to provide more light and will last much much longer.
Or if you really want to do it right, do an HID retrofit. That is what I did and it turned out great.

raybrig's go for about $65.00 (about the same price as PIAAs). Since i didn't see any on sale on fleabay, except one from hong kong, just do a google search if you really want to pay that much for bulbs. i don't think it's worth it though since your saving up for JDM retros anyways
