Default Accord got hit

Just wondering if anybody would have some idea how much it would cost to get the bumper fixed. Its not dented its just scuffed a little and since honda paint isnt that good it looks like the paint cracked but the clearcoat is still on. Its about 4in wide and 6-8in down just to give a rounded up idea of the area that would need to be painted. Any ideas on how much thatll cost? Im paying out of pocket b/c i dont want insurance to go up. Thanks its an 01

I had my whole rear bumper sanded and painted for $85. So it should be close to that.

Where the expletive did you find it for that much? Spray paint is us?

Dealership charged me almost 500 just to sand and repaint my rear bumper...a decent shop wouldnt charge any less than 300, more like 400.

oem cover is around 250-300 without labor or anything, quoting from dealer is never gonna be cheap.

paint is around 150 and if damage is not extensive, it should be relatively low, i would say all out of door for 200

Yea I was quoted 478 for just a repaint of the bumper cover itself, not even a new one...but it was on the other person's tab so I wasnt counting.

When I scraped up some girl's bumper and paid it off, the cheapest she found for a repaint was 350 or so...

There are very wide price ranges for paint jobs. You will mostly get what you pay for though. Anywhere from highly noticable for $150, to you will never be able to tell for $400. The trick is to get a job that satisfies what you want, for a price you can live with. It would help to talk to previous customers.
