Need help hooking up amplifier and subwoofer
Hi guys, I recently aquired a Kenwood 2 channel amplifier and 2 subwoofers, i was hoping you guys could answer my following questions,
While I have done some research, im still confused, its a two channel amplifier and thus I can only hook up my two subwoofers and thats it correct? I cannot also hook up my speakers to the amplifier? To do that I would require a 4 channel?
On the back of the amplifier I have the RCA-in ports(one left, one right), which I understand come from the head unit, what is the RCA-out for?
Thanks for the help
-Jon

If it's a two channel amp, then generally it's set up for only two speakers. However, you can wire multiple speakers to it so long as you don't exceed the ohm rating of the amp... However, for your purposes, just count on hooking up the two subs to that amp.
To amp your interior speakers, you are correct. You'd need a 4 channel amp.
The RCA out on the amp is used to daisy chain multiple amps, like if your deck only has one set of RCA outs, but you're hooking up two amps. It allows for a little cleaner install rather than using "Y" adapters.
