i have a video on my comp i got from my camcorder but it has some excess stuff in it and i need to edit / delete some of it to post online races / cruises we've went on.. help me out plz. what program do ppl use?

virtual dub should do what you want... check vcdhelp.com and try a search on that site. dl virtual dub and pm me if u need a little help on how to use it.

 

Windows Movie Maker or iMovie (Mac) will do it. They're basic/powerful programs that are easy and intuitive to use. You can get routine updates for free.

Check out "Xmas Run 05" in the sig. It was edited into a 4 minute montage from over 90 minutes of footage. It's a bit large but well worth the download.

No one believes that I mostly use iMovie to edit.
