h22 cylinder head material
alrighty. just trying to figure out whats the best way for me to clean out the cylinder head. i have a can of Gunk engine cleaner and i was wondering if that would be too harsh for the internals.
I'm not sure about gunk. I used a large container and Kerosene. I would imagine the best way would be to have it cleaned by a machine shop , but I'm too stubborn for that. I did read you shouldn't hot tank these heads. I'm not sure if that's true or not maybe someone who knows could chime in. I just wouldn't take the chance.

a hot tank is cleaning tank with heated solvent, they just let it set in there for awhile and the heat breaks down all the grime and crap and it comes out very clean.
