How does the 5G Prelude stack up with the RSX Type S?
I know you guys are going to be a little biased, but I'm curious to see if any of you have had any real world experiences with RSX-S's be it either stop light to stop light, highway, track or other. How did you guys fare? Did the extra torque of the H22 pull on the RSX or did the equal 200hp on the RSX-S and less weight give it the advantage? I *may* be looking for another car soon and I've always been VERY tempted by the Lude. Not exactly the fastest but certainlt the best overall IMO. And now the RSX-S seems to fit in a niche the Lude would've otherwise occupied since it's "grown up" from the GS-R it was.. so what do you guys think?
RSX-S wins in 1/4 mile, and in auto-x. The RSX was designed to fit in the space previously occupied by the lude and it does a very good job of filling that space. Take a look at clubrsx.com for some dyno charts and timeslips etc.
On a side note....you can pick up a lude with around 30k miles, drop a turbo on it, and put a nice suspension on it for the price of a RSX-S
Alright, play nice. When the RSX gets some more aftermarket support it will be a force to be dealt with. Stock vs stock it is a drivers race, but with equal drivers the RSX should win.
