too boost or re swap with a b16/b18/b20
well here it is..just wanted to read you guys opinion on this matter...
i have a 93 cx which 4 months ago did a complete z6 swap...with plans to go turbo
now comes an opportunity to go dohc swap...thing is...with the dohc swap i pretty much have to build the motor frm scratch the only thing i have to work off of is b16 short block which i can have for 100 bucks....(through a co worker friend) and with the turbo i plan on gettin a kit greddy or watever, but to build the z6 first....
my question is which way would by the the most afforable and reliable way to go with out diggin a bigger hole in my bank account?????any reply would help...thanks

i boosted a z6 and a y8 without having to "build" the motor and ran on them for about a year a piece til i sold them(still with no problems), they have a good compression ratio to start with, fairly sturdy cyl. walls, and if you do blow it, you can replace a single cam for like $400 or less. I ran a steady 8-9 psi the whole time and loved it, but i sold both the motors and am starting a new project. Just my $.02 GO FOR THE BOOST
thanks for the reply..i think im just going stick to the orginal plan and go boost....and maybe just go ahead and pic upi the short block..hell its only a 100 bucks..an piece it together slowly..
