My question today is concerning JDM side markers, the real ones, not the cheesy craps.
In their original setting, are they lit with parking lights and flash off with the signals, or are they off except when using turn signal/4-way in which case they blink with the turnsignals. I think I know the answer but I'd like to be 185% sure first.

Bump, because if you look at the harness item on passwordjdm.com,



there only seems to be 1 red and 1 black wire, indicating that the lights will be on together. As I understand it, the City Lights come on with parking lights. . . am I wrong?

in their original JDM settings they are only used as turn signals. they do not come on with parking lamps. there are different ways to wire them up i have seen people using relays to have them on with the parking lamps and then they flash with the turn signals.

 

Ok. I'm not into looking like an airplane so I'm going to go with what you said and wore them so they only come on when the signals are blinking.
