Default v-tec controller??

I'm thinkin of getting a v-tec conroller, but i don't know which one to get. If anyone has one please tell me about it, are you happy with it, or was it a waste of money?

i have an apexi VAFC 2, and i am happy with it. if you are planning on havily modifying your motor then i would suggest just getting a stand alone unit. but for lightly modified with simple bolt ons, then the VAFC and some tuning will be fine for you. plus the VAFC lets you monitor things like vacuum, revs, correction %, voltage, and a few other things. you can find out more at apexi's website.

Apexi V-AFC Ver. I here. Basically the same thing as the 2nd version. Very satisfied. Good for bolt-ons...after that...get Hondata.

...that's why you get someone to set it up properly. Never had a problem with mine. The only difference is that the V-AFC II is 12-point adjustable where the V-AFC I is only 8-point adjustable.

I'm going to be NOOB for second and ask this, what is a stand alone unit? I'm new with Turbos and how they work. I'm going to guess and say a stand alone unit is something like a chipped ECU or something like that? Hondata?
