are the VSS from a B and D series the same or different? for some reason the black part from the B wont plug in.

but if i switch the black part that held down by 2 10mm, it plugs in alright.

can i do that? or no

 

I did it from an automatic to a 5-speed speed sensor, but my problem must lie elsewhere, as my speed sensor is still hit and miss. It works about 65% of the time.
