Will a HF hood close completely w/ a ZC swap?
I was curious if Id have to purchase a ZC hood in order to close my hood completely with a ZC hood or can I just take out a chunk of the hoods skeleton to get it to close. Reason being is I performed the ZC swap and my hood is hitting the cam gears causing it too not shut completely. I was curious if I could just skin a piece of the hood off and be good to go.
Take out the motor mount by the timing belt and place a couple washer there... then reinstall the mount. You wont need to make alot of room... just a little. Maybe take off the cam cover on the timing belt... other than that... cut your hood.

I don't know what to tell you... it seems to be hit or miss. On my FIRST ZC swapped sedan, neither the power steering pump or the timing cover would clear... I just removed the power steering and threw the timing belt cover in the garbage. On THIS ZC swapped sedan, EVERYTHING cleared, including the power steering. Never seen one where not even the cam gears clear.

Where the hinge attached to the hood, if you put washers on the bolts in there it will give you a little more clearance. It will also make it look like a reverse cowl hood, so make sure you like that look.
