worth buying this 92 si?
my friend bought a 92 si automatic. crashed it, I replaced the rear right side of the suspension, and now there are some alignment issues as well as a wheel-bearing (i think front, maybe rear) and some ball-joints that need to be replaced. a shop quoted the repairs at $900 including labor and an alighnment. The car is lowered on, if i remember right "dropzone" adj. coilovers and kyb agx struts. it has about 163k miles, blue leather interior (somewhat cracked... leather), g@y altezzas, loud muffler, injen short ram intake, and he'll include a alpine tilt/removable face cd player with it also that was about $400 when it was new.
I already have a 92 si 4ws with an h22 swap that's just about done, but should I:
buy this car and repair it myself, to replace my dying 91 corolla. (parts will cost about $500 i think) and then when i drive my other prelude in spring give the car to my girlfriend
buy the car and swap out the the suspension/intake/cd player into mine, and THEN give it to my girlfriend or
buy it, take the good parts, and part the rest of it out..
he is asking $1000 but He owes me money so i'll end up paying about $800
oh, and if you say not to because of the auto transmission, i have a spare h23 manual trans/ecu I could convert maybe at a later date if anything happened to the transmission

i would buy the car swap whatever you want and then part out the rest
. I plan on doing the same thing my 92 SI is in bad need of work and i dont have time. So since my friend is getting a 95 vtec from his mom for free as a gift and he is going to sell it to me for 5k, because hes a american muscle guy
im going to switch over watever i can from my Si(jdm headlights suspension and such), and part out the rest of my Si in the next couple of months
