My engine is a D16Z6, stock intake manifold and throttle body.

I want to know if i can just swap the throttle body for a b-series throttle body. Or do i have to swap the intake manifold too? If i do, what intake manifold could i use? D16Y8?

 

Use the TB from all B-series and some H series on the D-series engines. It's all good.

 

When you go to a bigger throttle body, however, you need to port match the manifold to make it worthwhile.

Turbo d's with a b/h throttle body will see instant gains, especially in higher gears (i.e. 3rd, 4th gear pulls)

No need to swap IM's though
