Wiring harness extender for alarm system install
What's up...
I'm looking for a wiring harness extender for a 95 integra ignition switch harness so that you can splice in an alarm system without cutting the factory harness. I remember seeing one before but can't find it now. Anyone know where to get one?
Thanks!

Thanks!</TD></TR></TABLE>The ign. "T" harness was made to make installing a remote start into a car easier, but not really needed for an alarm install as the wires for an alarm are a small gauge compared to a remote starts ign. wires, as with any wire of an alarm that has to be connected to the cars wiring, they can all be done without cutting any "factory harnessing" every wire you need to tag into is in a plug someplace in the car, EG: ign. harness, depending on car, the ign. harness has plugs at the steering column around and into the fuse box, you can unplug the plugs, de-pin the wire/pin from the plug, solder the alarm wire to the metal pin then re-pin it, alarm wiring can be hidden in part inside the oem harness loom.
The only exception to this is in the case of a starter or ign. "kill" where the starter or ign. wire has to be "opened" and a relay installed, with a little work that can be made to look stock and/or put back to stock, what I do is de-pin the wire carefully open and remove the metal terminal, pull the wire back out of the loom, using the same gauge and color of wire re-terminate and solder the terminal you removed to the new wire, re-pin it into the plug and route the wire in the loom back the where you pulled the oem wire out to and terminate both wires with terminals the will fit relay or relay plug, it will look stock, no wires cut and with a little work can be put back to stock, and even a Honda tech. would have a hard time telling anything had ever been in the car.
