hi my heater and a/c always blows out warm air no matter what temperature i set it to. and when i turn it on, my rpm. i say that because im about 90% sure before when i turned on my a/c or heater, the rpm would jump up a little and you can feel and hear the engine working harder. it no longer does that and the air is no hot or cold.

 

Do you have any Idea of WHAT KIND OF CAR YOU HAVE ??

Could just be a cable that got disconnected or it could be much worse. Can't really answer it without seeing the car.

if your a/c AND heat are no longer working, and the temp is constant, you may have a bad control unit. when you press buttons, do your vents change accordingly? ALso when it is really cold outside, your A/C may not function beacuse will not turn on when the outside temp falls below a certain point.


If the control unit is bad, that is gonna be some serious cash............

 

if you mean the control unit are all those buttons, then those work right. when i set it to blow alot of air it does that, it just doesnt blow the right temp

 

Look up under the dash on the right side of the console where the carpet meets the firewall. Actuate the temperature **** and see if the cable is moving the lever fully or if you have a stripped ****.

 

i looked for the level you were talking abouit but couldnt find it, so i had a friend move the temperature control around and i saw nothing move under there
