my car started making a knocking noise 2day. it sounds like its coming from the tranny. i thought it was the axle, so i swapped it out, but its still making noise.. anyone know what it could be.

my car is, 97hatch with jdm b18c with lsd tranny

my friends car was doing that...it was his bearing on his crank...2 days later he blew a hole in his block from the piston rod...might be?does it only make it at certain times?

 

its def not that..its coming from the tranny, as soon as i start driving it starts but if im in neutral it goes away
