How do I remove headlights on 92 Prelude VTECH?
I am putting on a new frount bumper made buy Andys Auto. I have to take off headlights to get to screws that secure the bumper. I have taken off every screw and bolt possible to get them out. I see a spring behind the headlight. Do I have to remove this somehow? I can't find this info in my Chiltons manual anywhere. I need to talk to someone who knows the 4 th gen prelude.
No
first of all, its VTEC. VTECH is a poorly made phone.
anyway - you must unbolt the following:
-the bolt inside the wheel wheel between the fender and bumper
-the upper supports behind the little vent things next to the headlights.
-the front stone guard/skid plate under the car
-all the screws along the bottom of the bumper cover
the two 12mm (or maybe they are 14mm) nuts under the hood, between the lowbeam and highbeam under the headlight assembly.
-two bolts on each side behind the turn signals.
the whole thing will slide off. the bumper must come off before the headlights.

Just becuase I misspelled something does not mean I am a idiot. I am aware preludes did not come VETC untill 93. That does not mean I could not put a H22A in there. Anyway, thanks for the help!
thats true. but if you are putting a motor in youd think you could manage headlights.
im just messing with you though. you should really invest in a helms manual. http://www.helminc.com they are definately worth the money

Thanks for the link. I really need to stop spending so much money on performance mods and break down and buy a helms. It seems like the simpleist things stump me sometimes! Thanks for all the possitive info. Keep it real!
