Default Do i need a resonator??

im looking to buy a header for my 98 civic ex (d16y8) and some headers that i look at come w/ resonators(megan racing). do they make that much difference(if so with what?)?? is it worth the extra $50 to get one included?? thanks

the resonator is part of the exhuast system, not the header. its after the cat, and befor the first bend on the cat back.. are you sure its not a High flow cat that they are trying to sell you?

If you want it quieter get the resonators. They make the tone a little deeper too. However, they are a tiny bit more restrictive.
