i driving an EM2 n i know the d17 is weak but for sum reason i feel like is not giving out enough power as it should. i have a CAI, header, and an exhaust, n i feel like an all Stock civic can probably run faster than me.

What does anyone suggest i should do to get more power, my budget is tight so im not trying to go turbo or supercharge none the less swap...

i got 50k miles on it, does any one recommend a tune up?

Can i do anyting to the ECU to get more power out of it?

 

Is the stock clutch still grabbing as good? That could be while it wouldn't feel strong anymore. Power to wheels is not fully going down.

 

yea the clutch is still grabing good, n yea it feels like power is not going down to the wheels...what can i do to find out whatz going wrong...

also...recently installed a CAI myself, n after that i seems i jst loss power...is that possible?

 

maybe you just used to the power. Only way I see without swap or F/I is maybe internal work. But I don't see that worth it IMO. Maybe new plugs, and regular maintance stuff. In terms of ECUs maybe a p28 and a obd2b to obd1 conversion harness and run hondata. Or get a vafc2 and have someone tune. The only problem is don't expect a lot of afterwards since the D17 is not a good potential motor.

if you go with the hondata stuff, then you should do a good set of cams too!
