I have money!!!......Now what?
OK so this is my deal. I have 2654.32 and It all going torwards my hatch. The problem is that I don't know how to spend it. I had a ls motor in but I spun a bearing. I bought another ls engine but since I realized that I have this money I have been thinking about what I want to do with it. I am think ls/vtec because I can order a motor from hmo for 1600 shipped. What does anyone think about my stuation? is there any better solutions to my "problem". My goal is to have 200 whp and I don't want to spend a month tuning the damn thing

if you had an LS before and liked it...get another one and do it right. Go high quality with every componant--if you really wanna spend alll your money on your car though i mean..its just so easy so if your saying you want 100% of that money to go into making your car fast haha why not go ls vtec...get a nice lsd..nice clutch/flywheel i mean its up to you theres just so many things i dont think anybody can really say ok heres how you should spend your 2 grand...honestly if it were me id say ok im only spending half this money..give myself a modest budget and see what i could do

Heres what you do...
You said you have an ls motor already correct? Well if thats the case, throw a bottle on there, bottle heater, fpr and call it a day. 200whp for about ehhhh 400 bones, give or take.
Now do yourself a big favor and put the rest of the money in the bank and/or invest in something simple. I know its not the awsome VvTak moTOr YO! but you'll thank me in a year or two when you have the financial freedom to be sippin margaritas in some carribean place with all that dough you had saved up and not dumping it into a 20 year old car.

Get another LS motor. Do an LS/vtec with it. You could even build it for a high compression N/A monster or you could stay stock block 250-300whp on a F/I motor. Also get a LSD cable B16 transmission.

You could turbo an LS for 2600 easly I'd say 1000 into fixing/upgrading the LS block and 1600 for a turbo kit you make.
That leaves almost 55 dolars for one hell of a line of coke and a hooker

$55 might get you a decent line of coke, or a nasty hooker, but your not getting both. Mabey a terrible 300lbs hooker, and a skinpy line of blow. Anyway I say fix the LS and buy some suspension. If you really want 200hp, then get a vtec head, some buddy club stage 3's, AEBS intake, some 450cc injectors, 70mm tbody and a RMF header. You should be able to do all of that on your budget if you are carefull.

My boss has one with a ported blower, pulley, and lots of other mods. Before the ported blower, he made 476whp, 506ft. lbs. Animal, frys 315/18/35 Drag radias in third. The best thing ford ever made, prior to the GT.

lightnings are going 400/500 with just a couple bolt on. Which puts us in 12s right there
