hey guys, im having power issues in my 91 crx dx. The power will randomly cut out if i hit the high beams but not all the time. If i run too many things at once like the heater and the rear defroster i notice the lights dimming. I tested the battery and its fine and the alterantor is putting out over 14 volts so im stuck on what else might be going on. Im wondering if it could be a short but am having trouble locating it. Any info would be appreciated

What cuts out? everything or just the lights? If it's only the lights, it could be a bad 'combo switch' (the stalk on the column)

Dimming with everything sucking current is somewhat normal to a point.

 

the car completely shuts off and then turns back on in a flash, the radio also shuts off to the point that i have to redo all my settings on it. the power seems to quickly flash off but comes back in a split seconds time

 

k...i have the same issue..almost...but have u had any luck finding something??
