Default how hard to install vtec

how hard is it to install a vtec head on a non-vtec engine?
how do you rig the vtec switch to come on?

what do you mean hard to get runnig? I heard that the swap was a pretty easy thing to do. Do you know were i could find a d16y8 head at.

In order to get the correct ignition and fuel maps you need to run a VTEC ECU. The P28 from the 92-95 civic SI/EX takes a good amount of rewiring. The best way is the zynde one wire conversion. It will cost you less in the long run.
