Daily driver sold...........now what?
Well i sadly sold my 02 civic si yesterday and now its time to move on. What should I go with next? I need something that gets decent gas milage, but is still fun to drive. I cant afford to spend very much because I am going to be headed to college next year. I love my lude so should I go with another one? Maybe something old school? Maybe i shouldn't get another car because I am going to college? I don't really know what to do. Just thought I would bounce some ideas off of you guys. Thanks
Don't blow money on another prelude or something like that when you're going to college, moneys going to be tight. Save it.
I'd suggest buying some beater. People don't have any respect for other people's property, especially in college. You'll just end up getting a bunch of dents on your lude and becoming angrier every day.

Well i still have my lude but i really don't want to take that to college because I know it will either get broken into or stolen. Also I just spend like 1500 to have a bunch of body work done and don't want it to start rusting again. (Ohio winters are harsh) I guess I am really looking to find a good beater. Something that runs well, good mpg, but still fun to drive. But also something that if it gets a door ding or gets smacked in a parking lot, I can just turn the other cheek. Thanks agian
uhh i'm sorry but isn't your lude suppose to be the beater? unless you have spent a ridiculously amount of money into it.. a fairly new si is not a good "beater" especially if you are still making payments on it.. i say drive your lude til you get out of school then sell it or donate it when you get yourself a mercedes

Yea i know it doesn't really make much sense but I love my prelude. It was my first car and worked my *** of mowing lawns starting when I was like 12. I haven't put a ton of money into it but I have spent countless hours working on it. The car also brought me many firsts. I did my first engine swap on it, made me fall in love with hondas, not to mention i lost my virginity in the damned thing. lol I guess i just have a sentamental attatchment to it. Also I bought my civic thinking I was going to sell the lude and ended up blowing it up less than a week later. So the car sat in the driveway for about a year untill I decided that I would do the H22 swap on it and I fell in love with it all over again. I sold my civic mainly because it had become a financial hassle and I never drove the damned thing. It was an 02 with less than 18k that was stored in the winter. My civic si wasn't intended to be a beater. I just need something inexpensive to drive so I can work on my prelude and not have to worry about reliablility. Then again I should be saving for college....
