Highest RPMs seen on an F22
Its my understanding that F22's are not able to reach high rpms. Will i be able to achieve rpms up to 8k with the right work? What work would i need to complete? How far will full valve workup get me? Will a h22 head swap get me there or will i not be able to achieve these goals?
well considering the h22 is made for higher revving than the F22 it would be alot easier and more efficient to go with the h22 because its is designed better to take higher revs from the factory, whereas the f22 is a good boost set up because of iron sleeves and low compression. So yes with an h22 this is possible and most importantly you could make power up there with the right mods, as with the f22 you would be hard pressed to keep making power that high.
It depends on what you expect to "grenade" first, the Connecting Rods or the valves whacking the pistons.
Specialty Valve Springs with Titanium Valve Retainers w/Steel Valve Keepers, and any other efforts to lighten the valve train further would keep the engine together at the higher RPM's.
Connecting Rods of an improved design would work to keeping the bottom end together longer.
Actually, you should rephrase your question to include the words "Highest Sustainable RPMs recorded for an F22"
