I'm looking into an AEM cold air intake for my 5th gen. I was wondering how hard it is to install one. Where exactly does the air filter sit? Thanks.

 

It is easy to install and if you get a cai the filter will sit in your fender well right in front of the wheel.

 

Of course a CAI is gonna be more involved than an SRI, but an SRI is so much easier. I went with a CAI though because I enjoy working with my car and prefer a CAI over an SRI. The air filter is gonna sit where the old airbox was behind the front bumper and infront of the wheel well. After all the old intake stuff is removed you will have to cut a hole for the CAI to fit down into where the old airbox was.
