Default I've sold the turbo and am going N/A on a B16. Got some Q's...

I want to put in some high compression pistons. Like 12.5:1. Does anybody have any reccomendations on brand and or and info?

Thanks for the help folks.

I think that Civic Type R pistons raise the compression to 11:1 with honda reliability. Its an option.

CTR pistons will give you close to 12:1, and will not work as a direct swap into the B16. You will need to machine the rods approximately 1mm on each side where it slots into the piston to get the pistons to work. You may also want to smooth the edges of them.

They are some of the least expensive and reliable ways to raisie compression, but they ARE designed for a B18C block and rod ........ but you can make them work.

Thanks guys. I've looked in to the CTR pistons but the idea of machining the rods doesn't appeal to me. I would prefer to just install some aftermarket pistons after honing the bores and go.

Has anyone does something like this with success? Are they any problems with controling the oil? I've heard of people having problems with burning oil after such an operation.

thanks agian

yea what i would do is go with wiseco pistons there probably the best in the market ,get ctr cams w/ crower titanunm retainers and springs and get the jdm itr header and the hondata ecu and you can redline up to 9200 rpms and also make power all the way through.oh youd also have og little bigger injecters but good news is just go to a juck yard and find a gsx mitsushitty and get those injectors theyll fit rite in plus its a bigger fuel supply
