I have heard there are issues with the EF k20 swap and the hood clearance. I was wondering if they have fixed that. I want a SiR front end and will the k20 fit? thanks

 

the only k20 swap in a crx ive seen didnt have any issues with hood clearance AFTER the ribbing under the stock hood was strategically cut out. i *think* the sir hoods have a little more clearance for the b16, but i imagine that if it doesnt fit, you can just remove some of the under hood ribbing and it will work just fine. the guys from rywire have a picture up somewhere on the ef forums that shows where they cut the ribbing to get a k20 to fit. but that was also with hasport mounts.. so i am sure it will be different if you arent using hasport mounts.

 

Ya, we are doing another one with the cf hood (sir), so we will verify that they both fit (cf and regular steel)

PS, on the steel one I had to cut the dipstick, and I used a lower oil cap... Its that close!
Oh, and the other one is gunna have the ep3 pulley too!
