hello what car do you have??? it would help if you gave us some details???? the question you asked well here is 1 answer. Since I dont know anything about your car I will give you one difference. One is an automatic and one is a manuel. Hows that?

well the 90-91 is a B-series, whereas the 88-89 is a D series. There's the first problem, as there has to be some differences in the two.

What engine are you running?????

it doesnt matter if its a b-series ecu... people run p28's on a B-series and thats a D-series ecu...could be that ur car is obd0 and the ecu is obd1? or vice versa?????

People that run P28s on B-series motors are running chipped P-28s, not stock ones.

The 88-89 Integra ECU will work in your 88 Hatch

Some B series have some sensors that the D series do not have. Knock sensor is a good example.
