Hey, your from Owings Mills MD? damn, im in pikesville. I might know you, since all us russians know each other one way or another lol

As for your question, its never a good idea to rev high when nothing is warmed up. Sounds normal to me, just make sure you take time to warm up your car on cold mornings, or after the car sat in the cold for some time. If ya keep doin this, you could run into problems.

go straight to dealer to get trans replaced. 2000-2002 accords are covered by a 7 year 100K trans warranty. It is not normal for an auto to do that. All you have to do is wait until the rpms drop before you put in in drive (wait for engine to come off of fast idle) and drive away.

I just had my trans replaced and the main bearing went out causing the exact same problem you have. When cold trans would not move car forward. wait a few mins car moved forward and slipped in all gears (there was no second gear at all).

Cost me 3.2K has they had to replace some "hard parts" in the trans and I took all of the old parts and all I gotta say is that for 2nd there was NO Friction material on the clutch pack and for first there was just a ring of it on the clutch packs. The busing in the main shaft was gone and one of the bearings was bent....
